Adventure Land Playground at Baytowne Wharf

There are plenty of parks and playgrounds in the Destin area, but the one that takes the cake is located at The Village of Baytowne Wharf inside of Sandestin.

“Baytowne,” as we locals call it, is considered the heart of Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and is home to restaurants, shops, bars, and plenty of entertainment options for the family.
My kids absolutely love Adventure Land Playground and we often visit on particularly beautiful days. The playground is conveniently located between The Baytowne Melt (amazing grilled cheese sandwiches), Moo La La Ice Cream and Desserts, and the Baytowne Adventure Zone.

Basically…kid heaven!

This is one of the largest playgrounds in town. There are plenty of slides, tunnels, bridges, towers, ladders, swings, and more. The majority of the playground is geared toward bigger kids, but there are some areas for smaller tots, as well.

I like to let the kids play for an hour or so, then go next door for a killer grilled cheese.

The Baytowne Melt stuffs a classic grilled cheese with just about anything you can imagine. They have lots of combinations on their menu. Never fear- if the kids aren’t so adventurous, they can certainly get good ole melty American cheese between two slices of buttery bread.

Baytowne Wharf is ideal for families. Mom and Dad can shop and dine while the kids play at the playground or the Adventure Zone. There is even an ice skating rink during the winter months. I suggest you set aside an afternoon and evening to visit Baytowne Wharf during your vacation.
